West Virginia first to offer 2018 ATH Kwantel Raines

PA PREPS recently took a trip Pittsburgh (PA) to check out Dewayne Brown and 2/10ths Training, home to many of the best football players to come out of Pittsburgh, past and present. PA PREPS also had a chance to check out EVOLVE, a travelling 7v7 team headed by Von Madden. One of those players that left a very good impression on us was Aliquippa's Kwantel Raines.

We already knew he was a solid safety prospect, but it was Raines and his wide receiver skills that caught our attention. So it's not surprise that West Virginia, the first school to offer Raines, sees him as an athlete that has the talent to play on either side of the ball at the next level. Raines made the announcement via twitter earlier today:

PA PREPS had a chance to talk with Raines about the offer. "They like my grades, attitude, height, and athletic ability," said Raines. Penn State and Pittsburgh are also a couple of the other schools also showing interest in Raines.
