PSU'S big day continues with a commitment from 3-star DE Damion Barber

Earlier today, Penn State landed a verbal commitment from one of best players in the 2018 class, defensive end/linebacker Micah Parsons. Now Penn State has added the commitment of one the best defensive ends in the 2017 class, Harrisburg's Damion Barber. Barber had hinted earlier in the week that he might commit to a school this weekend and it turned out to be true. Barber made the announcement via twitter:

Harrisburg's head coach, Cal Everett, talked about what Penn State will be getting in Barber as a football player. "Penn State is getting a relentless pass rusher," said Everett. "He gets after the quarterback and can play the run as well. Barber is now 6'4" and has bulked up to 240 pounds."

Barber also had offers from Iowa State, UMass, ODU, Pitt, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, and Virginia Tech.

Penn State was able to land two of the top defensive players in both the 2017 and 2018 class.
