Shepherd said that Iowa State (coach Tyson Veidt) liked his highlight tape a lot. "He (Coach Veidt) said I looked like a leader and he asked me what position I wanted to play. I told him I'll play any position you want me to play."

Shepherd, currently a sophomore, also holds offers from Temple and Toledo. Shepherd currently doesn't have any visit lined up and says that a lot of schools are coming to the school to check in on him.

Shepherd did it all for Beaver Falls on the offensive side of the ball during the 2015 season. Shepherd rushed for 1,104 yards, passed for 522 yards, caught nine passes for 288 yards, and scored 18 total touchdowns.
