2017 DT Des Holmes talks about his latest offer from Temple

Desmond Holmes, a 6'4", 299-pound, defensive tackle out of Cardinal O'Hara High School (PA), has generated a lot of interest from FBS schools within the past few weeks. Most recently, Temple became the eighth school to offer Holmes.

Holmes visited Temple back in early April of this year and has been in contact mostly with Glenn Thomas (quarterback coach). "They (Temple's coaches) like my versatility and ability to play on both the offensive and defensive sides of the line," said Holmes. "They feel as though I can be a powerful force for them."

While the allure of playing for the hometown team is enticing to Brown, that still doesn't matter to Brown in regards to his recruitment. "I think it's great to be able to play in your hometown," said Brown. "I also believe that that you can excel at any place, no matter where that is, as an athlete and as a student. Temple could be hours away and I would still love it."

Brown currently does not have any other visits lined up this month. Brown currently has offers from: Temple, Maryland, Syracuse, UCF and several FCS schools.
