Bowers, currently a junior, also has an offer from Buffalo. Bowers talked about some of the things that the Rutgers coaching staff like about him as a quarterback.

"They (Rutgers coaching staff) like how I'll fit their system," said Bowers. "The quarterbacks that they have now are Pro-Style quarterbacks from the previous coaching regime. They're changing to a more uptempo spread offense and the head coach and offensive coordinator feel like I can fit into that style of play."

Bowers threw for 3,560 passing yards and 42 passing touchdowns in his junior campaign.
