Wilson goes in-depth on decision

When Cameron Wilson sat down to make his college decision, he kept coming back to one place that had everything that he wanted in a school. That place was Iowa, so the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Wilson gave his verbal commitment to the Hawkeyes today. We caught up with the three-star prospect to talk about his choice and much more.

Q: How did you arrive at your decision this week?

WILSON: Well, I've been putting a lot of thought into it the past few months and especially this last week, and I just felt like Iowa has everything that I wanted in a school so I didn't have to look any further. Iowa was the right place for me, so I decided to commit.

Q: Is this a final decision you think?

WILSON: Oh yeah. I'm a Hawkeye and I'm not changing anything.

As a junior, Wilson caught 77 passes for 1,075 yards and eight touchdowns, earning all-state honors at Dublin's Jerome High School. In committing to the Hawkeyes, he chose Iowa over scholarship offers from Illinois, Boston College, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Kentucky, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, and South Florida, among others.
