Funchess Excited for Big House Atmosphere
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison won their second game in under five days yesterday, taking down Southfield 28-14. Michigan tight end commit Devin Funchess (6-5, 205) was satisfied with the victory, despite the steamy conditions.
Funchess had few opportunities in the game, but made two catches for 29 yards in the Hawks' win. He was targeted a couple more times, but didn't manage to pull in some tough passes. He was disappointed to not make the plays.
He'll be making those attempts in a much larger stadium in just a year's time, and he'll get a preview of that tomorrow. Labor Day brings three days off from practice for Harrison, but Funchess isn't forgoing football altogether. He plans to be in The Big House tomorrow when Michigan opens their season against Western Michigan. He's excited for the start of the Brady Hoke era.
